After the trip to the Daintree the last few days were lower key. We needed time to repack the van and spend time with family. One of the things we repeated from a few years ago was ice bowling. It was a lot of fun last time so I filled some balloons with coloured water a few days before and they were ready to use at the end of our time there.
The kids were a lot younger the last time we did this so this time was more about smashing up the iceblocks once they had all had a go at bowling a few times. They had fun which was the main thing!
Before we knew it, it was Sunday, the day for departure. My parents had invited a lot of people over, some new to us and some we hadn’t seen in a very long time.
After lunch we finished loading the van with those last few things and said our goodbyes. As you can see from the photo above there were many goodbyes to be had. It was hard saying goodbye to our family but the time had come. So off we went back down the Bruce Highway towards Sydney.
