This weeks PF theme is ‘Athletic’ and I had to find a way to work this pic to the theme, too funny!
Welcome to the snail athletics - this is the paper eating competition. Guess who’s winning. : )

It appears that the last time I did a Photo Friday Entry was last November! About time I did one again. Here’s my entry with this week’s theme of ‘relationship’. I think this is a great pic of a brand new relationship that’s forming and not to mention a bond:
Here’s my entry for this PF theme. I suppose you could say that Kezi is holding two table numbers but really, this was on her second birthday which is how it relates to the theme:
I haven’t entered photo friday in quite a while but this weeks theme is ‘Travel’ and seeing as its a favourite passtime of mine (and one I haven’t been able to do much lately) I had to enter. Here’s my pic
This is my hubby Michael sleeping in the aiport in Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport in 2001. An oldie but a goodie. We were exhausted after nearly 24 hrs of being awake and were on our way from Niger to Papua New Guinea to see my parents.
So, here’s my photo friday entry. What an amazing plant this is. From memory it was named after something to do with a bat. This was taken at the Cairns Botanical Gardens. This would have to have been one of my favourite plants there at the time! God is so creative. Here’s another from the gardens there:
When I saw the PF theme this week this is the photo that came to mind. This was taken while we were visitng the West African country of Benin while we were short-termers with SIM in Niger. We went there on a holiday with another family. Apparently they are burning their crops but I’m not sure about the details behind it.
PF theme this week is ‘relaxation’. The photo I took this morning of Kezi at her first swimming lessons suits perfectly!
PF this week is ‘the blues’. Instead of taking that as its usually meant, I’ve gone with ‘the blues’ of the sky and ocean. These colours are typical of an Aussie summer! It’s Autumn here now so its nice to have a look at something warm and inviting. This is Manly Beach in Sydney:
I most definately can be sentimental so here’s my PF photo:
This is a photo of my Nanna, my Mum and I. I think I would be about 17 there. This photo holds a lot of sentiment for me because my Nanna passed away in 1998 and I miss her a lot. She was a hospitable, generous and caring person, all characteristics I would love to emulate. This is typical of us, sitting around her table drinking tea out of china cups, she also wore that colour a lot. Miss you Nanna.I’m fairly sure we had days where the temp got up to 50C (thats 122F). When we went to Papua New Guinea on our way home someone commented that we didn’t look very ‘brown’ for people who’d lived in such temperatures. There’s a reason for that. When its 50C outside you don’t really go and bask in it and try to get a tan (well, we didn’t anway). Besides, two words…..skin cancer.
Anyway, this photo is from the heat we experienced in Africa back in 2000-2001 (spot the giraffe by the way) and the second shot shows just how ‘white’ we really were afterwards!
