Catana Wetlands

Today, in the heat and humidity we visited the Catana Wetlands here in Cairns. It was a very hot day but I managed to still enjoy it and get some great photos (despite the kids complaining about the heat). The wetlands are home to a huge range of tropical creatures from frogs and snakes to crocodiles. We didn’t really see a whole lot of wildlife except for the pictured frog and a few birds (although my nephew said he saw a turtle). The boardwalk is particularly beautiful and being wet season every body of water was high as you can see from the photos below. Enjoy!
