…….over the hills and far away, Mother duck said ‘ Quack Quack Quack Quack but only one little duck came back. We have eight little cute fluffballs in our duck enclosure! Our two mother ducks, after much patient sitting on of eggs are now the Mums of these eight little sweet things. Its been fun to watch them get bigger, they grow so fast. One in particular is much smaller, not sure why. Some are much darker on the back and others light brown but they are all Silver Appleyards and very cute.

1. Can I have them in my suburb? – You will have to check your local council guidelines.
2. Don’t they poop everywhere? Yes, thats why we have them in an enclosure around our orange tree = great oranges!
3. What breed are they? Silver Appleyards.
4. Do they lay eggs? Yes, and are one of the best egg laying breeds.
5. What can I do with the eggs? They are great for baking, especially cakes.
All of our ducklings are for sale at $10 a duckling, they do better in pairs apparently although I won’t be able to tell gender before I sell them.
