Some more of the new cake toppers for the selection. This time they are cupcake toppers and I can do these in any colour and shape with your child’s name on them. Send me a message if you’re interested in them as I haven’t added them to any online shop as yet.

I’ve had a chance to do a little claying this week and so I made these two fellas for the cake topper selection. The bigger one is about 10cm tall (I think, have to measure him) and it would depend on what metal findings I have as to what the outcome would be. I love these and as I’ve mentioned a few times before Miss K loves robots! Might have to use these for her cake later this year.
Friday Focus – July 30
Stress. This week seems to have had a fair bit of it and once again I’ve been reminded what it means to fully trust that God knows what he’s doing. At the moment, as it has been for much of this year I know quite a few people who are going through some very difficult situations. Some of these people are very close to me and others I’ve heard about on the grapevine. Some of these people are trusting God, yelling at God, crying to God and leaning on God. Some of them are ignoring God and either don’t believe he exists or are outright angry at him and everyone around them. Its so hard to trust when there are circumstances beyond your control, especially if you’re a planner and control freak like me. God seems harder to trust some times, we can’t necessarily see him or audibly hear him and yet he asks us to throw ourselves on him.
At one point this week the stress was so great that I threw my arms up in the air and finally gave it all up to the Lord. Gosh I wish I remembered to do that to start with instead of taking it all onto my own shoulders. I love Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:28;
‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest’
The trouble is that I often come, I stand before him, give him the burden and then snatch it back and run off again. Stupid really. In order to really rest we have to teach ourselves to actually give him the burden for real and not take it back. Being human means that this can be easier said than done, but it must done in order to really rest.
Rest. The other side of stress. Now thats something I’m aiming to gain. I’m so glad that Jesus waits patiently for us to stand before him again and truly hand it all over to him.
I’d love to read what you’ve learnt this week, feel free to join in on the blog hop and use the banner at the top.

Thats a toy catalogue she’s reading. She was saying ‘I want this’ and ‘that’. Hmmm, I really should hide these things from her.

To match ‘yesterday’s’ pic, I had to put up one of Little L in a similar shot. The last one was done using the black and white app whereas this is using the Format 126‘s Mono High function. I love the effect.

Whoops! Missed a day. I was so busy working on my new Polyclarific facebook profile pic that I forgot to post here!
So, here’s my photo of the day for yesterday:
Miss K in the car, I love this shot. This was done using my phone and then iphone apps! So much fun.

I’m loving Miss K’s hair. Its long and golden and so pretty. I’m amazed really when I think of how bald she was until she was about two and a half. That means its taken two sold years of growing to get it that long. When she had her first ever hair cut a few months ago we cut off the bottom of the hair and kept it, that was her baby hair!! Not bad considering she’s nearly 5 years old already.
Weekly What List – July 27 – August 2
This week was once again marred by sickness. At the start of the week Miss L had croup and Miss K had a cold. By half way Miss L’s croup was dealt with but it became a nasty chest infection. I lost a fair bit of sleep. Thankfully they are back on track and the antibiotics have done their job. I must say, apart from sorting through their clothes drawers I don’t think I got much else done this week, lets see;

These also took part in my reshoot the other day. I made a lot of extra sets of magnets for the market and brought all of them home again. Now I just need to list them in my Etsy store at some stage.

Yesterday we took advantage once again of the winter sunshine here in Perth and went outside for a picnic. This time it was for morning tea. I gave the girls some nibbles to eat and before I knew it Miss K had poured her water into her little frying pan and broken up her rice bikkie into it. It became a soggy mess but she did have fun. This was all fine and dandy until Miss K went off with her basket to collect other stuff to put in the pot and Little L decided to play with her ‘stuff’. Yelling and screaming ensued and well, picnic time was over fairly soon after that. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
