Weekly What List – March 22-28

Time for the list again so first I want to go over this last week. This week has been an uphill battle. First little L got a 24 hour stomach bug, the next day Miss K got a cold and two days later little L got her cold. Instead of me catching their cold I got a nasty cold sore (yes, horrible but lots of us get them and they are embarrassing). As awful as that is, I think I’d prefer the cold sore, at least I can still function with that (and get up at night over and over between the two girls).

Review of the Weekly What List for the 15-21 March.

Physical
- Contact a Naturopath and investigate. – I did email one but have had no reply and haven’t followed it up
- Try to physically relax – as much as I’ve been very busy and its hard to relax with sick kids, I think I have managed it a bit.

Spiritual
- Continue to memorise this verse but also get to know its meaning more: Ecclesiastes 7:8
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. - still haven’t done this!!
- Also look deeper into verses applying to anxiety. - not much!

Creative
- Get out oil paints and paint something – YES!!
oilpaintsml
- Fix pendant for C – yes but not completed yet
- List more things on Etsy – yes
- Do more sewing – no

Family
- Take L to the park at least once. – no, not with all the sickness
- Continue Doll’s House with K – last bit of carpeting and more walls. - no

Friends
- Send messages – yes
- send off parcel #2 - no

I really only achieved half of the things on my list but thats ok, its not a hard and fast ‘must-do’ list. The aim of this list is to give me goals in the areas I usually procrastinate in or find harder to do. Now for this week.

Photo of the Day – March 22

feathers

For today’s photo I am sharing another one of my moleskine sketches. My little obsession with peacock feathers was obviously the inspiration here. I have of course stylized it but I think this might make a good stamp too.

An Award!

Beautiful Award

lovelyblogaward

What a nice little surprise this morning when I discovered I’d been given a blog award from someone I don’t (yet) know. Thank you GlowinGirl for choosing me. I really like her blog Sugartails, even though I’m not a homeschooling Mum I always learn a lot from those who are (and who blog). They always have so many great ideas that I can use for my girls.

Here are the rules for the “Beautiful Blogger Award” and “One Lovely Blog Award”:

Thank and link to the person that gave you the award.
Pass this award on to 15 fantastic bloggers you’ve recently discovered.
Contact the Bloggers and let them know they’ve won.
State 7 things about yourself:

1. I have a collection of dolls in different national costumes, the first I received was my Hawaiian doll from my Aunty when I was about 8 and that kicked it off.
2. When I was little I used to sing ‘incy wincy spider went up the wall to spout’.
3. The strangest thing I’ve eaten is jellyfish.
4. I take photos every day.
5. I have been to around 15 countries so far.
6. I still want to go to Canada, Peru, Ireland and Turkey.
7. I’ve never had a car accident. ; )

Muffin Tin Monday

MTM125Button

Ok, I know its not lunch time here in Perth yet but its not lunch time on Monday in the US either and the muffin tin Mum Michelle has started her post early. I reckon she did what I’ve done, did a Muffin Tin on a different day and is posting about it now. We did this tin last Friday and I decided to go with last week’s green theme seeing as I missed it last week.

I can’t say that this tray was a hit, mainly because both girls were sick with colds. K ate up her 8 mini m and m’s and a piece of cheese and that was it, L ate more of her tray but rejected the avocado bikkies. Ah well!

So, here we have, mini pasta, frozen peas, avocado on bikkies, cheese and tomato sandwiches in the shape of trees and a four leaf clover as well as cheese in those shapes. Also green mini m and ms and a green frog.

Obviously I could have used a whole slathering of options from pear, apple, an array of green veggies, grapes etc…but I had none of these (only red ones for some reason). I don’t actually think this tray looks that appealing, thats to my eye, the kids don’t care what colour it is.
