Today the Muffin Tin theme is ‘orange’. I had to put my thinking cap on because my girls don’t seem to like many orange foods much. Doesn’t mean I won’t try to give it to them but I have to get creative to make it appealing. We had, thinly sliced/grated pieces of carrot, slices/cubes of rockmelon, circle cheese slices (shaped like oranges with a sultana as the belly button), slices of ham, sultanas and toast with marmalade on it.
Other orange foods I could think of (but didn’t have) include, baked beans, apricots, oranges, mandarins, peaches and pumpkin. Just to clarify for those from the US reading this, we eat pumpkin as a main meal, usually roasted or mashed. Its never a dessert. Closest thing to it being a dessert would be pumpkin scones. Closest thing you have to scones are what you call biscuits. What we call biscuits you call cookies. See how confusing it all is!!
K immediately did something only a kid would do….put her ham on her marmalade toast! Yuck!
L is eyeing the orange stuff off, not sure about this one.
Neither of them would eat the rockmelon and only a tiny bit of carrot was consumed. I can only try right!
