Recent Polymer Clay Work

I took a look back and realised that I haven’t written anything about my polymer clay work for a few weeks. In that time I have been playing with a few new ideas but haven’t gotten very far. Here are a few things I’ve come up with which will make their way into my shop eventually! I’m trying some new things and different ideas instead of all pendants and earrings (although I can’t help myself with those).

We have also decided where the money will go for the last two months but I will do a post about that separately (from my sales in my on-line shops and at the markets). I wanted to take my time in deciding as the sales were above and beyond anything in previous months.

My on-line shops are:

Polyclarific at Etsy
Polyclarific at MadeIt
Polyclarific at Wahmania

So, here’s the new work:

Keziah Drawing again

K seems to have a little drawing addiction. She draws whenever she sees a pen and finds anything to draw on that’s laying around. Sometimes this turns out to be a bad thing (like the other day when she drew on L’s chair) but when she gets ‘into the zone’ she turns out some really interesting pictures.

It always fascinates me to see what natural talents God has instilled in each child. K seems to be very social and dramatic and has this flare for drawing. She was even ‘life drawing’ her own legs the other day. She put a piece of paper next to her legs and then looked at them. Then she drew a long straight line and said ‘leg’ and then looked again, drew a scribbly short line at the end of her leg and said ‘feet’ and then looked again. Then she said ‘sore on my foot’ and drew a dot on the foot in her drawing. She then proceeded to draw the second leg the same way. I’m not sure if this is just ‘normal’ for her age but I was impressed as I haven’t taught her to do that at all.

Here are some examples of a 3.4 yr old at work.

Photo Friday

I rarely do these anymore but I liked this weeks theme (costume). I was going to put up one of Keziah in costume but decided to dig back a bit further to one of myself as a kid. This is around 1983 I think:
