Yesterday we went to the show and it was a fun day out. Michael is about to take off overseas and interstate for three weeks so we wanted to have a great family day before he went. K had a really great time. She got to ride a pony, go on the spinning teacups (with me who also thought that was a lot of fun), pat lots and lots of different animals, see the cars in the main arena at lunch time and more! K even got to record herself singing Bananas in PJ’s in the ABC Kids caravan and we got it on CD for free. Its very cute watching her sing into the mike.
We didn’t buy many show bags, just the usual sample type ones and a Bertie Beetle one for K. I’m not much of a show bag person, they always look good till you get them home and realise that everything in them are cheap and nasty and that the lollies all got eaten on the way home. We were even clever this time and brought our lunch and snacks with us. It was a lot of fun as you can see from the photos, great memories!
These three photos were taken by my Dad, love that car one, what a great shot! You beauty Dad!

Sweet photos! Looks like a fun time.
Looks like a very special day! Great pictures too!
Looks like you had a wonderful time! Cute pics!
What a lovely day! There is nothing better than family time at venues like these. We are hoping to go apple picking this weekend. Can’t wait!
Your kids are so adorable! Looks like you all had fun
What a wonderful day. Lovely photos.
Initially, when you said you went to the show, being from the US, that would mean to me that you went to the movies or to see a stage show/play. I was a bit confused at first, but caught on quickly, thanks to the photos. I’m also not sure what “show bags” are as sample bags here in the us are generally free, so perhaps you are referring to something else. In any case, loved the post and enjoy the puzzle of trying to figure some things out with the differences in our common language.

wow looks so fun
Thanks for the clarification, Amanda. I like the name fairy floss so much more than cotton candy! I’ve never heard it called that before. It’s much more whimsical!
You are welcome Theresa, glad to have shared a little Aussie culture with you. Thanks everyone for your comments!
