Tomorrow I will be selling my items at the Melville Baptist Church fair. This is our church and Michael is an Associate Pastor there. All funds raised from everything everyone is selling will go to assist the local high school Chaplain. This afternoon I went down to the church to set up my table to discover that mine was the only one not set up! Its all ready to go and now my table is no longer the odd one out.
For those locals who may be interested here are the details:
Where: Melville Baptist Church 9 Sargeant Rd Melville
Time: 9am – 2pm
I hope to see some of you there, make yourself known and come over to my little Polyclarific table inside the main hall. Some of the items on sale include:

The sales for all my items for September and October are going to Deborah House Shelter for Street Girls (92704) and compared to the previous two months sales ($US82) I did quite well. The total in sales for these two months was………..drumroll……….$US300. This is exciting as it will assist those girls in Addis Abbaba Ethiopia who are in need and quoting from the SIM website:
“Deborah House is a shelter house that offers these girls a safe place to sleep, Christian love, food, and care—by paying school fees, offering medical care, teaching about HIV and AIDS, and most importantly, teaching them about the love of Christ through Bible studies and compassionate care.
With room to house 30 girls, the shelter has almost always been at capacity since it began. As they have experienced the love of God through the staff, many of the girls have changed dramatically and made commitments to follow Christ.
In order to bring more girls off the streets, the Deborah House staff is working towards reintegrating some of the girls into the community. This will be done by reuniting some of the girls with their families, by placing others in foster families, and by other methods.”
I will let you know soon where the November and December sales will go. I have to sit down and have a good think (and pray) about it as this is the month where I will be selling at the Made On The Left market and expect to sell a lot more than usual (or hope to!).
Thank you to those of you who have purchased from me these last two months, I’m sure the girls in Ethiopia will benefit greatly from your buys!

So here I am, sitting here in my black swivel chair next to the window that looks out at our strange little Budgie while typing this, yes, we are back in Perth again! Our lives have been all over the place for the last three weeks with Michael travelling to the USA, Tokyo and Sydney and myself, the girls and my Mum off to Adelaide for the wedding I wrote about earlier.
We did a lot in Adelaide and enjoyed looking around at both chocolate factories (Melba’s and Haighs), the giant rocking horse, Rundle Mall, Glenelg, Handorf, The Cheese factory and more. A highlight would have to be the giant rocking horse which had a small (free) wildlife sanctuary as well as a toy factory and picnic area. K had a great time that day (and so did I) and managed pretty good considering she missed her afternoon sleep.
I also got to meet up with a few people while in Adelaide including Amy and Sal whom I’d met via the Christian Mum’s website. It was so nice to meet them in person. Amy’s baby C is one day younger than my L which is why we met in the first place.
So, here are some photos from our time in Adelaide, enjoy!

I’m glad to be home again and spent today sorting out all the bags and doing loads of washing. Our house is almost back to normal already so I’m glad. Now, where’s my to do list!

We are famous, well, in our own minds anyway! When we went to the Royal Show the other week we bought a $5 Ikea bag and in it was a voucher to have our photo put on the cover of the catalogue. No, not the one that goes out to everyone but a copy for us to take home. We thought it was a real novelty and we’ll never throw out that catalogue! Very clever advertising, we’ll never throw that out!

I am currently over in Adelaide because my younger cousin Scott got married to his gorgeous (now) wife Jo last weekend. The wedding was really beautiful, so unique and personal. Jo’s parents did a fabulous job with the reception and my Aunty did a wonderful job with the invitations, order of service and place cards (and more!).
This was both K and L’s first wedding. K had the time of her life! Scott and Jo thought of so many details including a great little corner just for the kids with a little bag of goodies for each child. They had their own little plates and treats and toys to play with. K however played there for a while but then spent the rest of the wedding wandering around saying hello to people, dancing, dancing, dancing and eating! She had such a fun day and was even holding hands, chasing and kissing the other little boys there!
My Mum looked after L for the most part and little L slept most of the time. I spent most of the wedding following K around stopping her going off after the family dogs and getting into the sun (she has such fair skin and it was quite hot – around 30C I think). Here are a handful of pics from the day, congratulations Scott and Jo, what a gorgeous wedding!

I had a fun custom order last week for Liza of Lillybuds including butterflies, roses, cupccakes, lemon meringue pies and fawns. She ordered these little things for her button bouquets a little bit before I left for our trip over here in Adelaide so I had to work hard to complete it in time. I was pretty happy with the end result and Liza is too (which is more important!). Take a peek!

I enjoyed making the little fawns as fiddly as they were and am really pleased with them. It was too tempting of course to put them in little scenes when taking photos!

When we moved into this house Michael painted K’s room in the two colours I have been planning on using, vintage green and light pink. My aim is to do a shabby chic style throughout her room. Well, finally she has more than just pink and green walls, she now has a doona to match!
Mum and I worked hard all week and sewed her a gorgeous doona cover and it really sets the walls off nicely. Next will be some curtains and I might make her a couple of little cushions to match with the left over fabric. We were very pleased with ourselves and so glad that we got to the end of the project in a couple of days!

Laying it out.

This weeks PF theme is ‘Athletic’ and I had to find a way to work this pic to the theme, too funny!

Today I found out that I have been accepted to sell my wares at the upcoming Made On The Left Market. The market is run by some of my Etsy WA friends and its so exciting to see this market take off so well. The first one back in July was a real hit!
The details of the market are:
Made On The Left Market
The Made On The Left market will feature a wide array of Western Australian handmade art, jewellery, clothing and more. This is the perfect place to pick up pre-Christmas gifts, fantastic fashions and treasures from local makers.

I have been making things like crazy for three months now (basically since Lucinda was born) and today I did a stocktake to see where I’m up to. Not including those things that I put on the stall from my online shops (150 items in all) I have:
Barrettes (hair clips) – 5
Necklaces – 24
Single Pendants – 40
Sets – 6
Earrings – 60
Bracelets – 5
Tins – 1
Keychains – 5
Phone Charms – 6
Rings – 15
Cards of Buttons – 7
Brooches – 6
Bookmarks – 12
Magnets – 16
Tea Light Candle Sets (of 2) – 6
Small Bowls – 2
A total of 216 items. This does not include the jar of beads I’ll be bringing to sell off at 50c a piece and the other loose beads I’m selling off at $1 each etc…
As you can see I have a lot of earrings and pendants. When I add the things from my online shops to the range the number of Necklaces more than doubles. I worked out my pricing today and I won’t be making anything else for the market as I go off to Adelaide in a week and have a couple of custom orders to fill before that.
I hope I have enough items to fill the table as they are small so can tend to shrink into the space.
I also decided to continue with giving my profits to SIM but I also may go 50/50 and put aside half for my girls just on this occasion. Here’s a few other of my items that I photographed this week:

I’ve been very busy continuing to build up my stock for the upcoming Melville Baptist Fete and Made On The Left market. I have been trying to turn my focus to less jewellery items to give me a lot more range. I’ve added more tea light candle holders, bookmarks, brooches, hair accessories and magnets.
Before you take a peek at the new items can I ask if you would click on this link and do a little survey for me. It’s in regards to my pricing. Pricing is something I’m not particularly confident in so all feedback would be greatly appreciated. The link is:

So, here are the new items, thanks for any feedback:
