Yes, thats the big news that I promised to share. Of course there are no photos to show you just yet as we won’t move in for about 3 months but we are excited. The property is in a suburban area but looks very rural with lots of trees, a big backyard, fruit trees, grape vines, rainwater tank, grey water tank and a deck out the back! It has Jarrah floorboards and is close to Fremantle (10 mins) which is something we never thought would happen.
All credit goes to God who has given us this house as its better than we ever dreamed! Of course now comes the packing and settlement procedure but I have lived in our current house for 22 years (with a couple of years away in the middle for Bible college or missions trips or travel), basically since I was 12 years old so I’m looking forward to being in our own home. Photos much later.

This week I heard from an editor of Get Creative Magazine here in Australia. She let me know that I am featured in the March edition of the magazine. I actually forgot about the interview I did after everything thats been happening in our house since October! (baby, travel interstate twice, hubby travelling overseas and some big news that I’ll put in the next post, not to mention Christmas and New Year!).
If you are in Australia look out for the article, according to the site its about Etsy and on page 46. I’m yet to receive my copy of the magazine and see it myself, look out for the interview with Amanda Hunt about polymer clay.
Exciting!!

Recently I was given the challenge of creating a pair of earrings with a tropical theme, the main criteria was that they had to include a pineapple. That pineapple was a challenge but I’m fairly happy with the results. The buyer is happy so thats the main thing. I’m always more critical of my own work (bit of a perfectionist!).
Another reminder that all the money from all sales in March (in all shops and from here including commissions) will go towards SIM’s Camp La Joya in Peru. You can read about it two posts down. When I say all money, I mean all. If you buy an item for $20.00 then the whole amount goes to the campsite, postage is the only amount of your payment that won’t go to the work.
So, here are the results:

I have actually had the creative inkling to sit down and put together a few pairs of earrings and a couple of bracelets over the last two nights in front of the TV. This is something I haven’t been able to do for a while, just haven’t had the right state of mind or energy to focus. Eventually I will get to list these on one of my shop sites but in the meantime, if you see something you might be interested in let me know and I’ll sort out prices for you. Its cheaper to buy via my blog than my shops : )
I also wanted to remind anyone who might read my little blog that all the money from all sales in March (in all shops and from here including commissions) will go towards SIM’s Camp La Joya in Peru. You can read about it two posts down. When I say all money, I mean all. If you buy an item for $20.00 then the whole amount goes to the campsite, postage is the only amount of your payment that won’t go to the work.
So, here they are, I really should make myself some at some point!

The weather has finally cooled here in Perth, at least for a few days until it gets up to the mid thirties again next week. This meant that we could go outside and not worry about the heat for a change! Kezi loves being outside but I always feel limited, especially when its around 37C and she is so fair.
I dug around in our shed and found my old dolls pram which I’ve been meaning to get her for a while and she loved it! It needs a good clean but she didn’t care one bit. Chalk is always a favourite and she has learnt how to draw around her feet or hands (roughly). On top of that we just moved our bunny Alphie into a borrowed wooden cage from his metal one and now Kez can see him easier. She loved that too. In all its nice to be able to go outside again.
Ignore the long grass in these photos, our lawnmower died a long time ago and our wonderful mower guy James moved down south (for great reasons) so we need to find another solution now that its long again.

I’m currently have a sale in my wahmania store - 10% off for the whole of March. I would love to clear out some of my 2007 stock to make way for the mountain of new things I have made for sale.
ALL PROFITS FROM THIS SALE GO TOWARDS THE WORK OF SIM AT CAMP LA JOYA, PERU (click to see a previous post about their work)
I am in the process of changing the direction of my online stores. I will be slowly cutting out two of them (mintd and madeit) when their time runs out and focussing only on Etsy and Wahmania. I want to include a line of new products that I have in mind including my hand sewn pincushions which you can see in a previous post here. One day I hope to include more of my painting and I have a line of gocco prints ready to finish too. I’m not putting any pressure on myself though so this will probably happen over the course of the year.
Some of the items on sale in my Wahmania store (click to go straight there) are shown below.
