We have some exciting news! We are expecting our next baby in July! I have just passed the 12 week mark and so I’m looking forward to trimester 2 as the first has been pretty typical with every normal ’symptom’. The worst of all has been my lack of energy, I’m very very tired, even after 10 hours sleep (or more) a night! I think having a 2 year old makes a big difference this time. My creative energy has almost all been sucked away. I haven’t done anything really creative in quite a while! I’m sure it will come back so stay tuned, you never know. Anyway, I’ll keep the blog updated as I go!

Hi Amanda - a bit of a blast from the past here, its Karen Shaddock (Christie’s Mum). Your Mum and Dad have been on my mind lately so I googled their names and came across their blog and yours and Jonathon’s as well. Congratulations to you and Michael on having such a beautiful daughter as Keziah and on the big news that there is another on the way. Christie who is living in Sydney now is due to have her first baby on 3rd Feb and I am flying across next week. Love your blog, and the fact you add to it regularly. Love to you all Karen

Molly Says:

Karen - wow! What a nice surprise! I’d love to get back into contact with Christie. Please tell her congratulations from us and I hope all goes well for her.

Deb Karajas Says:

Hey that’s exciting!! Congratulations!

It’s funny you mention the need for lots of sleep. My sister has 2 kids now, and at a recent family afternoon picnic for Tim’s birthday when my 10-weeks-pregnant sister-in-law fell asleep on the grass, my sister was gazing wistfully at her commenting on how she remembers falling asleep anywhere and everywhere during her first pregnancy. Then she pointed out that one would sleep that much during every pregnancy if one could, it’s just that it’s only the first time round that you really have the time!

Blessings.
Deb
