Today is Keziah’s 2nd birthday! Time does fly doesn’t it. Its a lot of fun having a little girl to dress up and teach new creative things to.
Keziah is a great kid. She’s a cheeky girl (gets that from her grandmother) and has a very cheeky grin. She’s sociable, independent, crazy fun and very good with her hands. I’m really pleased that her gifts this year were not really toys. They weren’t dolls, teddies or enormous plastic molded items that she will get bored of quickly. Instead, she got things like a mini guitar, chalkboard, sandpit, crawling tent and mini trampoline. All things that will help fill the day in for a toddler her age. They’ll also be great for teaching her to play rather than just having it all there for her already.
Yesterday we went to the zoo for her birthday. Her birthday is actually today but the zoo is half price on Wedenesdays so we thought that made more sense. We took her to the zoo when she was a little baby and of course she took no notice of anything. This time she did get excited about some animals but was the most excited about………..the duck! She could chase him! She was of course worn out by afternoon sleep time from running everywhere and having a ball. There was a gorgeous old carousel at the zoo, been there for years and her poppa put her on it. She had a great time and I’ll post pics about that another time.
She’s had fun so far today with opening presents and having a take-away lunch plus going to toys R Us!!

Its not a real tortoise but the real one in the cage behind her is that big (see below)!
I made some cupcakes and brought them along (and some candles although we didn’t light them) so we’d have some form of birthday food!
