Keziah and I made cupcakes together yesterday. Well, I made them and she ate the mix. She’s not quite 2 yet (turns 2 in 9 days) but she’s very good at helping. Its a lot more fun to make cupcakes with a (nearly) 2 year old than on your own. Its a lot messier too which is why I am grateful to my amazing Mum who whipped up these matching aprons for us.
Mum (and Dad) lives in Papua New Guinea so she sent down a parcel with a friend (Simon from Simission) who recently visited them. She also sewed Kezi some very cute dresses, a skirt and a little library bag, all of which Kez loves.
Here’s some pics of our cooking adventure (I’m not known for my cooking so yes, it was an adventure) followed by some of Kez in her new outfits (please note, she’s actually wearing nearly everything Mum sent her at the same time as she wanted to put it all on! I still need to put them on her properly and take better pics):
As you can see they came out just fine, except for the ones at the right of this photo. Those were the ones Kez kept dipping her spoon into so they ended up getting squished. They were also at the top of the oven.
*Here’s the iced cupcakes as promised - YUM!*
Here’s the pics of the wonderful things Mum made for her:
So there you have it. Thank you Mum, you’re amazing! (especially since she hasn’t seen Kezi since last January!!) I’ll post some better pics sometime and when I’ve (we’ve) iced (that is, I attempt to ice and Kez attempts to eat as much of the icing as possible) the little cakes this afternoon I’ll take a photo and put it up. Just doesn’t feel finished without it.
