#1. I can now leap out of bed after just 2 hours sleep to comfort Kezi and be mostly awake to do so. This is something I could never do before.
#2. What’s more, I can do this several times in one night.
#3. I can do this several times in a night and not be a total grumpy bear the next day.
#4. I do not understand this but I now do understand all those grumpy bear moments my Mum may have had when we were kids!!! xxxxxMumxxxxx
As some of you are aware I am a supporter of Schapelle Corby. I write to her every now and then and occasionally send her a little package. I’m not as faithful in this as some of her supporters who do it every week though.
Mercedes Corby is Schapelle’s sister and has had a very bad wrap in the media lately. I think this was very unfair as much was based on untruth or exageration. Mercedes has done a very gracious interview with The Daily Telegraph Newspaper which is very much worth reading. Even if you already have an opinon on the Corby’s or are ’sick of hearing abou them’ I would recommend that you take a few minutes to read this interview as it tells a lot about her life. You can read it here.
One of her wonderful supporters (Carina over at Hacia la Justica) has put a link to an interview on her blog. She also has the whole interview copied as a post.
Regardless of opinion, this interview shows that Mercedes isn’t spiteful, she doesn’t cut down those who have hurt her, she is honest and warm and endearing. Please have a look.
I recently put some items in a local shop in Pioneer Village in Armadale for sale. I was a bit concerned that I hadn’t sold any and was even avoiding checking in to find out. Sure enough, nothing had sold but the shop owner (Sandra) is a great lady and suggested I bring in some new pendants and made up jewelery and swap them over.
We went past there yesterday and did that and included some earrings and some of my newest handpainted pendants. She now would like me to bring in some miniature food to sell there in her kiddies section so I’ll be making a few mini pizzas and cupcakes this week!
Here are the new pendants - even though these are for sale in the shop (which you’re welcome to visit and buy from), I am happy to custom make any of these for you. Of course, being hand painted means that each one will vary.
This one is for sale in my Etsy store here.

I have one more which is almost a coral colour with white swirls and gold findings (including a gold plated chain) but I’m yet to take a photo. I’ll upload it here when I do and it will go for sale in my Etsy and Wahmania stores.
Our house is relatively small, even though its a 4 bedroom it has hardly any storage space. For this reason we have storage in all sorts of places from the top of our (non built in)wardrobes to Keziah’s room! Having a toddler really does mean rearranging everything and this is something we have to constantly do. I now have a set of shelves in my study with nothing on them at all!
One thing I’ve had to figure out is how to store my polymer clay bits n pieces safely. I use them almost every night so its a bit of a hassle having to pack them up and unpack them again. Our kitchen table has had neat (alternated by not so neat) piles and an array of jars. I didn’t take a photo of that because its just so embarressing. Whenever we had someone over I had to pack it all way of course. I’ve finally gone and bought a nice set of cheap storage boxes that stack and have stacked them out of the way. Of course, everything is labelled so I can find what I need.
The new system
The new table!
I can have something on the table now (please ignore the wrinkly tablecloth!)
Not only that but now we can ACTUALLY USE THE KITCHEN TABLE. Don’t get me wrong, our house isn’t a mess and the pile was a neat pile but it really bothered me!
PF this week is ‘the blues’. Instead of taking that as its usually meant, I’ve gone with ‘the blues’ of the sky and ocean. These colours are typical of an Aussie summer! It’s Autumn here now so its nice to have a look at something warm and inviting. This is Manly Beach in Sydney:
So much to blog about today. I’ve decided I’d try out one of services from Vistaprint and get some postcards of my artwork printed up. I’m really pleased with the results, they are true to colour and nice n glossy! I’m going to make these up into sets of 10 cards to sell on my Etsy and wahmania stores very soon (as soon as I make them into cards!!).
Here they are:
and here’s the original painting, its a pastel, a little larger than A4 size:
The next Keswick Convention is coming up in just over 2 weeks so I”ve been trying to come up with some new ways of presenting our display for SIM. I found this very cool tool on the flickr toys site and have made six cubes which will work something like a puzzle. Took me hours to get them exactly right (I’m a perfectionist) but I think they turned out well.
11 years ago today, Michael and I walked up the aisle (as opposed to down the aisle) as a married couple. Michael went to so much effort for my gift - a special little pocket diary/PDA in a leather bound cover. He printed off the inserts himself and went shopping for the cover.
He also gave me a really nice business card holder. Its also leather and is in a colour thats very me! Thank you honey for putting in so much thought and effort. I gave him a really decent travel bag for his toiletries, its really needed as we fly over to Sydney once a year and also go away a few times a year for differnt things.

I’ve finally decided its worth joining Flickr pro as I have been using it as another method of advertising my polymer clay items. So far its great fun to have everything in proper little sets and collections. Please take a look, I’ve gone from just three sets of photos (photo albumns) to 36 by putting everything in its rightful place. Its much easier to find specific photos, objects or creations now.
