(pic - one of the cars with the bike) Today our closest friends are all starting their big trek across Australia. One of them started in Sydney and drove down to Melbourne and met up with the others. They’re all moving back to WA after having lived over east for a while. The convoy includes six adults, four kids, two car trailers, three cars, one bicycle, two dogs and a cat! I can’t imagine what they must all look like as they make the long journey across from Melbourne to Perth but we’re very much looking forward to them all getting here. Because they can only go at around 80km/hr (49.71 MPH) it will take them until Monday to arrive! According to travelmate the trip will be 3468.91 Km in distance which is equal to 5582.65 miles.

Today we had a special service for Keziah, our daughter. It was a dedication service where we thanked the Lord for our little one and also dedicated her to the Lord. We did this to publicly say that we will do our best as Christian parents to bring her up in the ways of the Lord. It was a lovely day and they even had a special lunch for her although she slept through most of it and of course, she’s too young to appreciate all that food! It was lovely though.

Today was my birthday (as you know from my previous post). I don’t want this to sound like a big whinge or anything but I’m so surprised at how many people remembered. Apart from my immediate family, just one friend called to wish me a happy day. No other phone calls, emails or cards. Hmmmmm, strange. I don’t know why but deep down it doesn’t bother me as much as it used to but it obviously does bother me a little bit or I wouldn’t have written a post about it.
I did have a nice day. We went to lunch with my parents at a place called The Rose Garden where they bought me a gorgeous yellow rose bush. I love yellow roses. My hubby bought me a funky watch and an itunes voucher and my parents also bought me two DVDs (Finding Nemo and Shawshank Redemption).
Oh, and my new darling daughter….she gave me smiles and bubbles. : )

Yep, it’s my 31st tomorrow. Time flies so quickly, I vaguely remember my 21st 10 years ago. I was working on an orchard with my family, getting cash to pay for our wedding. We went out to dinner at a Swiss type restaraunt in the Glenorie area, just me and my parents and brother. Funny thing is, during the last 10 years we’ve all lived across the globe (PNG, England and Africa) but for this birthday I’ll be having a meal with my parents again. My brother is in Victoria but instead I’ll have my hubby and bubs. I’m also not that fussed this year. Not sure if it’s cos I have a baby to think about but I really don’t care that there are other things on for my birthday and I won’t be doing much to celebrate it. I don’t care either that there won’t be many prezzies. Whatever. I got my present already last September, she came unwrapped. (pic is of me on my 21st - lunchtime at the orchard).

My brother and his wife have started a new blog. They are about to embark on a new adventure as they move overseas to Papua New Guinea as missionaries with New Tribes Mission. This pic is actually of my Mum as my parents are also missionaries in PNG with NTM.
This is an official invite for anyone who reads my blog to go over and check his out. It’s basic right now and only has one entry but there will be more. It will be worth following. Enjoy!

I’ve been having a ball ebaying still. Some of my latest additions are the best. I got a ‘Fat Albert’ iron on transfer yesterday which really brings back childhood memories. I forgot all about that show until I saw this transfer for sale. The trendy retro thing is to wear t-shirts with images from the 70’s (Dukes of Hazzard, Astro boy etc…) which is great fun. There are so many shows I’d forgotten about, such as The A Team and Fraggle Rock and Alf, all of which I grew up watching. Which shows do you remember and would be willing to wear on a t-shirt?

Also from the official Corby site, a great idea to encourage Schapelle;
“Between now and Christmas why not try and lift Schapelle’s spirits by filling her prison wall with Christmas cards? All members of the SOS forum are continuing to raise awareness and positive support for Schapelle and her family.

Please be encouraged to visit this site and show your support as well.
