Africa …..so far away

I was looking at something on SIM’s international site today and noticed a photo of these Hausa hats . We bought one when we were in Niger (these are from Nigeria which is a different country!!) and the memory of buying them still takes me back. We’ve been home from Niger for almost 4 years now and yet the whole experience rings fresh still!

Psalm 145

Ahhh, a nice Psalm indeedy. Often I’m a bit refreshed by reading Psalms but this one stood out to me recently. Verse 9 is a goodie “The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made”. That’s good, I’m in need of compassion at the best of times!

A Nice Surprise

Today we got an email from a friend we haven’t heard from in quite a long time, what a nice surprise that was. She lives in Canada and says she’s sending us a parcel so we’re looking forward to seeing what she’s sent. Doesn’t take much to brighten my day!!

Routine

Where am I without routine? Everywhere, nowhere, all over the place! Aaaaaahhhh!!! I need a routine. Last year I was studying so I had routine, each day was worked out according to where I had to be. Now that I’ve finished my studies I have to be nowhere! My job is from home and is self driven so that makes for a lot of free time at home! I’m excited that my job with SIM has been increased by 4 hours a week to 20 hours. That only leaves another 148 hours a week that need a routine! Ok, so about 48 hours are meant to be used in sleeping but there’s still 100 hours a week left. It’s driving me nuts (and who said I was legalistic with my hours!!) LOL.
