Cat and Mouse

Today I watched a cat sit on my front lawn and play with a mouse. I’ve never had a cat so this is something new for me. The cat had the mouse in its mouth and then it would throw it in the air. The poor mouse would start to run away and the cat would let it get so far and then pounce on it. The process would start all over again.

Sometimes I feel like the mouse.

I love it when cats let the mouse go and start to look around as if to say, “I’m not looking at you any more. I really don’t care if you run off.”

Then as soon as the mouse makes its move - WHUMP - down comes the paw.
